R.E. Newcomb Electric, Inc. is a family owned and operated electrical contracting business, which was first established in June 1985 by founder and president, Roy E. Newcomb. During Roy’s summer years of high school, he worked as an electrical helper for Reed Electric, located in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. After graduating from high school, Roy was accepted into the IBEW Local #26 Apprenticeship Program, completing his studies in 1977.

The company quickly gained a reputation as a first-class electrical contractor and has continued to grow over the course of 40+ years, in part due to the dedication and loyalty of many long standing employees. There are many team members who have been employed since the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s, which has provided and maintained stability over the years.

Roy’s youngest son, Michael R. Newcomb, first joined his father at R.E. Newcomb Electric, Inc. as a young teenager working in the summer months. He worked his way through all field positions and currently oversees all operations. The father-son duo are both Master Electricians with many successful years working side by side.
